THE MOLTING COMIC’S “LEAVE YER MARK” CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
Eligibility: There are no age restrictions for this contest. Entries will be accepted from persons of all ages.
Since the winning entry is to appear in print in the fifth issue of The Molting comic book series, video submissions are, unfortunately, not eligible for this particular contest.
How to enter: Complete one piece of original art, in any medium (drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, computer graphics, etc.), and submit it, in digital form to the “Submissions” section at www.TheMoltingComic.com/contest between 07/01/10 and 09/01/10. The artwork should be directly inspired by the settings, characters, language, or plot of The Molting. To find out more about The Molting, or to order the first four issues of the series, visit www.TheMoltingComic.com.
Please make sure that your name and the mediums used are clearly visible with each submission. If your submission has a title, please make this clear as well. Participants are welcome and encouraged to submit more than one piece of art.
Your submission should come in the form of a web link that directs us to a scan, photograph or digital composition of your The Molting-inspired artwork. Make sure the web links are functional after you’ve posted them. Sometimes breaks in a link occur when a web address is lengthy. In these instances, consider using a free URL-condensing service like TinyURL.com for your submissions. Further: due to privacy settings on social networking sites like Facebook, consider using deviantART or Photobucket to host your images.
How to win: The Grand Prize winner will be selected by The Molting’s artists, Terrance Zdunich, Brian Johnson, and Oceano Ransford from all qualified entries on or about 09/15/10. The winner will be announced before the fifth issue of The Molting is sent to print.
Prizes: The Grand Prize winner will have his or her winning art piece printed in “Mother’s Day”, the fifth issue of Terrance Zdunich’s The Molting. In addition to being featured in the comic, the winner will also receive a copy of “Mother’s Day”, signed by Terrance Zdunich, Brian Johnson, and Oceano Ransford.
The creator of the winning submission (or the creator’s parent/legal guardian, if under the age of 18 years) will be required to sign a consent form, granting permission for his or her selected piece to be printed in the fifth issue of The Molting.
In addition to the Grand Prize, several pieces will be selected as runners up to be mentioned/featured on TheMoltingComic.com.
